New Form Helps City Officials Deal With Resignations

Staff Reports

A newly released public document form has been designed to help city officials deal with the frequent resignations of city workers and fellow public officials. The new form was used to bid farewell to Assistant City Manager Gary Packin who is headed to work in the private sector in Texas. Packin's resignation occurred shortly after City Manager Mike Will resigned to work in the private sector in the city of Elyria.

"Having this new form makes resignations so much easier," said city commissioner Dennis Murran, who designed the form. "It has all the standard congratulatory phrases pre-typed, so all you have to do is circle the best choice and hand it to your local media rep." According to the form given to the Sandusky Regurgitator regarding Packin, local officials were sorry to see him go. Packan was an asset to the city, and whoever gets him is very lucky. A space on the form that provided a 'notable project employee will be remembered for' was left blank.

"This is about reducing redtape. The form saves time and helps city officials save tax dollars by reducing the time wasted dealing with the media." Murran reports that he is currently working on a standard form to help deal with businesses leaving Sandusky.
