A press release from the Perkins Police Department claims that a "raid" that took place last week on the Perkins Police Headquarters was really a surprise birthday party for Perkins Police Chief Tim McClang. Reports of the raid by uniformed Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Agents were "grossly misinterpreted" by township personnel who then misreported the facts to a local newspaper, according to the press release.
"The so-called "raid" was actually a surprise birthday party for the Chief," states the press release from McClang's office. "Chief McClang, through his many years of unsurpassed, highly honorable, faithful, and undying vigilant service to the great citizens of Perkins township, has made many friends at the federal level of law enforcement. The surprise birthday party was simply a token of their respect to the Chief. [The ATF agents] threw the party in uniform because of the Chief's dedication to professionalism," the press release states. Chief McClang declined comment on whether the ATF's surprise birthday party was a "good kinda party" or a "bad kinda party."
