The use of language during city commission meetings was approved by the Sandusky City Commissioners Monday afternoon in a 4 to 3 vote with Commissioner Dennis Murray casting the deciding vote. "Language is sometimes necessary to convey messages between people. Without it, we would just sit here and stare at each other," Murray said. "We have to keep it simple and to the point," Murray added. The use of language was brought to a vote after several commissioners complained that the board couldn't agree on anything. "We needed a common denominator. Something we could all agree upon. We thought that the ability to speak is a good first step." Murray said. "Next we'll decide which language to use. Tomorrow is a new day."
